Research

My research program investigates the geometry of moduli spaces of sheaves on projective varieties, with an emphasis on their global structure, including the description of irreducible components, their geometry, and decomposition phenomena.

A central part of my work consists of constructing and identifying new irreducible components of moduli spaces, as well as understanding their geometric properties and associated invariants, exploring interactions with Lefschetz-type properties and related algebraic structures.

More recently, I have been extending this line of research to the setting of algebraic supergeometry, studying vector bundles and moduli spaces on supervarieties, with the aim of establishing geometric foundations and new structural correspondences in this context, including connections with motivations from theoretical physics. On the algebraic side, embedding theorems for algebras with trace and supertrace, generalizing Cayley-Hamilton algebras, provide a bridge between this algebraic theory and supergeometry.

About me

I obtained my Bachelor's degree (2010 to 2014) and Ph.D. (2014 to 2019) in Mathematics from UNICAMP (Campinas-Brazil), including a visiting Ph.D. period at the Universitat de Barcelona (Barcelona-Spain).

I was a postdoctoral researcher at IME-USP (São Paulo-Brazil) in 2019.

From 2024 to 2025, I was on sabbatical leave at SISSA (Trieste-Italy).

Students

I supervise master's and PhD students in algebraic geometry. Prospective students should have a solid background in algebra and are encouraged to take the courses in Algebraic Geometry and Commutative Algebra. I suggest getting in touch during or after those courses, so we can discuss possible research directions.

I am not currently taking new undergraduate research students.
